What is Omakase?
Omakase, loosely translated from Japanese, means “I leave it up to you.” Some people say it means, “respectfully leaving another to decide what is best.”
Omakase sushi is a carefully chosen and curated selection of sushi by the chef, who often picked the fish that morning. Driven by the seasons and the quality of the daily catch, the omakase menu is varied, surprising, and always unique.
However, the food is only part of the appeal of the omakase experience. Diners often also get the opportunity to talk to the chef and learn about the craft and journey that led the chef to be there with them today.
The dining experience is as much a part of the meal as the food you eat. The atmosphere is casual, and diners are encouraged to enjoy their food at their own pace.
We would love to introduce you to the omakase dining experience. Make a reservation to join us at Sushi One for an exceptional sushi experience you will never forget.
